About Meryl
Hi, I’m Meryl Stevenson, LCSW-C, and I’m passionate about helping children and families navigate life’s challenges with compassion, curiosity, and practical support. I spent years working as a school social worker, partnering closely with students, families, teachers, and multidisciplinary teams to support children with a wide range of emotional, behavioral, developmental, and learning needs. That experience continues to shape my work today.
I understand that children don’t exist in isolation. That’s why I believe therapy works best when everyone on a kid’s team is working together. I collaborate closely with parents, teachers, pediatricians, and other providers to create consistent, realistic strategies that help children practice new skills in their everyday lives.
My approach is warm, relationship-based, and individualized. Sessions are engaging, developmentally appropriate, and tailored to your child’s unique strengths, interests, and goals. Whether we’re building coping skills, increasing social confidence, improving emotional regulation, or strengthening family relationships, my goal is to create a space where children feel safe enough to grow—and where parents leave feeling hopeful and equipped with practical tools they can use at home.
It is a privilege to walk alongside families as they build confidence, resilience, and lasting change together.
